For the Cake

  • 1 box (approx. 15.25 oz) Vanilla, White, or Spice Cake Mix

  • 3 large Eggs1

     

  • 1 cup Eggnog (Full-fat preferred for richness)2

     

  • $\frac{1}{3}$ cup Vegetable Oil3

     

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg (Optional, for extra spice)4

     

For the Eggnog Custard Filling

  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix5

     

  • 2 to 2 $\frac{1}{2}$ cups Cold Eggnog

  • $\frac{1}{4}$ cup Spiced Rum or Brandy (Optional, for a boozy kick)6

     

For the Topping & Garnish

  • 1 container (8 oz) Whipped Topping (like Cool Whip), thawed7

     

  • Ground Nutmeg or Ground Cinnamon, for dusting8
