For the Pizza Dough

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 3 1/2 - 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

  • 2 teaspoons fine sea salt

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for the bowl

For the Stuffed Crust

 

  • 8 - 10 mozzarella string cheese sticks (approx. 1/2 oz each)

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

For the Toppings

 

  • 1 cup pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought)

  • 2 cups shredded low-moisture whole-milk mozzarella cheese (about 8 oz)

  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni (about 4 oz)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for finishing)
